Konduki also known as Romantsevskiye Gory is a picturesque man-made landscape in Tula oblast.
Until 1996 it was a coal quarry. No one bothered with reclamation, so soil dumps turned into mountains, recesses were filled with water. The result was great anyway.
In 2019, former quarry was registered as a natural reserve, the shifty guys who took money for entering the territory got a license, parking was arranged and a name was given.
The place is popular among the locals, but there are no crowds. If you want to take a photo with people, just go ahead.
If you want a shot without people, it's also easy.
It is even easier here to break a bone or fall into a deep crevice.
From the top there is a good view of Epifan.
Getting in (as of October 2022): Konduki is located about halfway between Epifan and Bogoroditsk. About four hours ride from Moscow. It may be possible to get here by bus from Bogoroditsk or Uzlovaya but it's hardly worth it.
