Yepifan

A former district town recently demoted to a mere village in Tula oblast. St. Nicholas Cathedral (1810-1850) on central square is a remnant of former grandeur.

The bell tower at the refectory and the tower next to it look like newly built, but they are just over-restored

Gallery between the refectory and the temple.

The statue of Lenin was broken into three parts, and then glued back together.

Few historical buildings.

The Church of the Dormition (end of the 17th century).

Yepifan could be a great place, but the smell of dung is everywhere and it's just unbearable.

Getting in (as of Ocrober 2022): four hours from Moscow by car and just one bus a day from Orekhovo bus terminal. There's no direct bus access from Tula.
