Khruslovka

A village not far from Venyov with a preserved manor which belonged to tsaritst Russia railway magnates von Meck. Its last owner, Maximilian von Meck, was a diplomat who emigrated to England in 1917, where he lived until 1950. His estate until 1984 housed an orphanage.

After the children were evicted, the building was transferred to the balance of some enterprise to organize a boarding house, but something went wrong. In 2020, the estate was nationalized from the last owner, who did not want or could not repair it. Now the state plans to sell it again at a public auction. It may fall apart completely before though.

Inscriptions "Private property!" remained from the previous owner.

Part of the roof has already gone.

Room with a picture of Moscow Red Square.

There was an oven.

It is doubly disappointing, since during the stay of the orphanage here, the stucco molding and interiors (with the exception of minor alterations) were generally well preserved.

Getting in (as of October 2022): when going from Venyov towards M4 highway take a dirt road near the railway crossing.
