A town in Vitebsk oblast. Been here before, so just a small stroll under rain to see few places that were missed last time. Epiphany Kuteinsky Monastery with the Baroque Trinity Church (1626) on the left bank of the Dnieper river to the south of the town center.

The fence and the tower have also been preserved. The monastery is extremely unpleasant, there are beggars at the entrance, who first call for sharing in a loud voice, and if you don’t share, they threaten with the wrath of the Almighty and a terrible judgment.

On Lenin street, you can look at the old school building (1906), which now houses a gymnasium.

The building probably used to belong to the school.

Getting in (as of November 2022): 6 hours drive from Moscow or 2 hours from Minsk. The town is well connected by railroad with frequent trains. Also keep in mind that you cannot cross the land border between Russia and Belarus unless you hold Russian or Belarusian passport.
