Two villages in the Podporozhsky district of Leningrad oblast.
Yuksovsky Pogost, also known as Rodionovo, is known for the wooden church of St. George the Victorious. It is almost certain that it took its current form in 1632, but there are opinions that the main part of it was built already at the end of the 15th century, which makes it perhaps the oldest wooden church in Russia, standing in its place, and not moved to the museum.
Details.
Next to it stands the late Sretenskaya Church (1863), but it was heavily renovated.
An old tombstone.
All this stands on the shore of the very beautiful Yuksovskoye Lake.
There used to be a full-fledged church here, built in 1899, but it burned down. All that remains is the interesting chapel of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from the 18th century.
Solstice symbol.

The village itself is also picturesque
