In Soviet times, Tver had a full-fledged tram system. Due to chronic underfunding and poor track condition, tram service was stopped in 2018. Disused tracks are still lying aroud.

 

A monument to Karl Marx on Sovetskaya steet. It was erected in 1919 but the Marx's head was replaced at least two times due to vandalism.

Getting in (as of June 2022): direct fast tollway from Moscow or a train.

Where to stay: hotel Radio. It is far from the center but close to the train station.

Where to eat: Druzya Vostok restaurant on Simeonovskaya st.

What to buy: there are many souvenir shops in the city center, and they even sell something that is not made in China.
