Pravdinsk

 

A small town in Kaliningrad oblast, former Friedland. It was renamed after major Soviet newspaper Pravda in 1946. The main point of interest is a St. George church (now Orthodox) built in 14-15th century.

 

Few nice houses near the church.

 

"The labor is life" written in German above the entrance to the private hospital.

Local cyclists printed really good and durable stickers to advertise their Critical Mass event in 2017.

 

Renovated park.

Getting in (as of September 2022): not particulary exhausting but windy from Kaliningrad. All buses to Zheleznodorozhny stop here.
