A town near Kolomna which name is translated as "Lakes". There are actually few oxbow lakes remained from Oka river nearby. It could be assumed that the Latin "Z" instead of Cyrillic "З" on the entrance sign was paid as an advertisement by a local chocolate factory O'Zera, but it was changed in honor of the special military operation in Ukraine.
Ozyory used to be a major textile producing center, but all its factories were abandoned in early 2000s. Cotton plant "Worker" went bankrupt in 2000 and was turned into a technopark. You can freely enter the territory: there is a supermarket inside.
Soviet mural.
Water tower.
The house of the plant's owner with a magnificent two-storey cast iron balcony.
The second factory, "Red Ozyory", is almost completely abandoned.
The building of another pre-revolutionary factory was monstrously lined with cheap siding and converted into Auchan supermarket.
Trinity church (1851).
A local cat guarding building materials.
Getting in (as of March 2023): 40 minutes drive from Kolomna or 90 minutes by train from Golutvin which is major station in Kolomna.
