Two small villages in Arkhangelsk oblast.
Lyadiny, also known as the village of Gavrilovskaya. Previously, there was a magnificent temple complex of two wooden churches of the 18th century and a hipped bell tower. The bell tower was here.
And here was the Intercession Church.
In 2013, the churches were struck by lightning. Only coals remained from the old temple.
Only the Church of the Epiphany (1793-1798) was saved from the fire. It was even restored for this occasion.
Details.
Porch with stars on the ceiling.
Rural buildings.
I was especially impressed by the giant peasant house. The date 2001 on the facade is apparently the year of the last renovation.
The village is on the territory of the Kenozersky National Park and on the banks of Lekshmozero lake.
The chapel of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God here looks modest, but it is from 1790.
Well, now it’s time to say goodbye to the Arkhangelsk region. The signs at the entrance to it were shot from guns and tightly covered with stickers.
Unfortunately, time was running out, so it was not possible to properly photograph the local fauna, including the green snaketail.
Getting in: both villages are on the road (very poor one) from Kargopol to Onezhskoye lake.
