The village near Krasny Holm in Tver oblast. The Church of the Nativity (1824) is worth taking a turn here.
Its condition is so-so. Only the apse's ceiling is intact.
But the paintings in the main volume and in the refectory are fine.
Angels above windows.
Holes were hollowed out approximately at the level of the stomach of the figures on the lower tier. Perhaps they were used to carry the ceilings when the church was used as a warehouse.
Traces of conservation attempts: in the niches near the altar, fragments of plaster with paintings in boxes.
Old doors.
The insides of the bell tower.
View of it from the refectory.
Tasty raspberries grow inside the temple.
Getting in (as of August 2023): About five hours ride by car from Moscow via M-11 tollway and Tver.
