Belarus. Borisov

First trip abroad since the start of the pandemic. Until March 2022, it was impossible even to leave Russia for Belarus by car without a "good reason".

Borisov is a town in Minsk Oblast close to Minsk. Very little historical buildings remain after WWII.

Catholic сhurch of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (1823).

A pedestrian was disassembled and could not be assembled again.

Belarus as well as Russia was banned from the international sport events. So Borisov soccer stadium won't see foreign players in a foreseeable future.

Graffiti with a Belarusian cosmonaut and the caption "Follow the rules".

This little fellow was found helpless near the stadium.

It turned out that he was a rhinoceros beetle. Therefore, he had to become a model and be photographed from all sides.

Getting in (as of June 2022): direct road from Minsk. Lots of public transit options.

Where to stay: hotels in Minsk would be a better choice.

Where to eat: restaurant "Amsterdam" in the "Korona" hypermarket. I used to stop there often for lunch on the way to Grodno, but recently it has become noticeably worse.

What to buy: "Korona" is the closest hypermarket to Russia along the M1 highway, so Russians often buy here European cheeses, the import of which into Russia is prohibited.
